NOMAD Hawaij spice means “mixture” in Arabic. It’s a spice blend with cumin and black pepper, cardamom, coriander, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. In Israel, hawaij is used extensively by Yemenite Jews and its use has spread more widely into Israeli cuisine as a result, A peppery yet not too hot spice blend used to rub on Chicken or seafood before cooking.
This mix is traditionally used in Yemeni soups, so it's another way to bring flavor to a dish that could be a little bland. Your soups will love you for it.
